The Center for Workforce Development at IEL is managing NCWD/Youth.
For more than thirty-five years, IEL-a non-profit, nonpartisan
organization based in Washington, DC-has worked to achieve
better results for children and youth. At the heart
of IEL's effectiveness is a unique ability to bring
people together to identify and resolve issues across
policy, program, and sector boundaries. IEL's Center
for Workforce Development focuses on helping leaders
in both the public and private sectors build bridges
that connect individuals with both learning institutions
and the workplace. The Center has been involved in
research or technical assistance on a number of major
initiatives -- most notably school-to-work, standards,
and youth issues.
National Center on Secondary Education
& Transition (NCSET) at the University of Minnesota

The National Center on Secondary Education and Transition
(NCSET) was established to create opportunities for
youth with disabilities to achieve successful futures.
Headquartered at the Institute on Community Integration,
University of Minnesota, the NCSET provides technical
assistance and disseminates information focused on four
major areas of national significance for youth with
disabilities and their families.
- Providing students with disabilities with improved
access and success in the secondary education curriculum.
- Ensuring that students achieve positive postschool
results in accessing postsecondary education, meaningful
employment, independent living and participation in
all aspects of community life.
- Supporting student and family participation in educational
and postschool decision making and planning.
- Improving collaboration and system linkages at all
levels through the development of broad-based partnerships
and networks at the national, state, and local levels.
National Youth Employment Coalition
(NYEC)

NYEC is a network of over 200 national organizations,
state and local coalitions, workforce boards, youth
councils, community-based organizations, direct service
providers, Youth Opportunity (YO!) grantee sites, and
research and policy groups in the youth employment/development
field. NYEC is the foremost national membership organization
of the youth employment/development field and is dedicated
to promoting policies and programs that help youth succeed
in becoming lifelong learners, productive workers and
self-sufficient citizens.
PACER Center

The mission of PACER Center is to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents. Through its ALLIANCE and other national projects, PACER, a national center, responds to thousands of parents and professionals each year. With assistance to individual families, workshops, materials for parents and professionals, and leadership in securing a free and appropriate public education for all children, PACER's work affects and encourages families across the nation.
