High School/High Tech
The High School/High Tech Program, sponsored by the Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy, provides opportunity for students with disabilities to explore careers in science, mathematics and technology. HS/HT students learn about careers through site visits, mentoring, shadowing, and paid summer internships. High School/High Tech students are encouraged to develop career goals and to take the academic preparation necessary to achieve their goals. Working in a dynamic environment, seeing mentors at work, and planning a course for the future are what students with disabilities are doing to meet the demands of the 21st century workforce.
