Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is a large-scale national effort coordinated by the American Association for People with Disabilities (AAPD) to promote career development for students and job seekers with disabilities through hands-on career exploration and ongoing mentoring relationships. While DMD is officially launched on October 17 during National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the program has expanded into a year-round initiative.
