On Friday, October 20, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) released a blog about apprenticeships and disability, titled Apprenticeship and the American Dream. The blog examines the many advantages of apprenticeships in today’s economy for both employers and workers, including individuals with disabilities. These advantages include the potential for high-wage jobs, paid on-the-job training, and lack of student debt that apprenticeships can offer. The blog also highlights the Office of Disability Employment Policy’s #ApprenticeshipWorks video series about how apprenticeships can work for everyone.
